I am an approachable and friendly tutor, there’s no such thing as a silly question! I teach towards achieving a good understanding of the subject, as opposed to just remembering formulas, definitions, mechanisms etc.
Having taught for many years (since 2002), I know many of the common misconceptions in each of the topics and use these to help promote an excellent level of understanding. I have a huge bank of resources which I am happy to share and often use to set regular homework as and when appropriate. I believe that practising questions rather than reading through notes makes for the best progress. I am good at determining an individual's barriers to learning such as lack of confidence, overconfidence etc and have many useful tips for exams.
