Bio:
As a qualified Maths teacher, I have taught Key Stage 3 , GCSE, FSMQ and A Level Maths to a large number of students of varying abilities over the past 20 years. I have high expectations of my students and ensure that as well as enjoying the sessions they are making good progress. I encourage my students to ask questions, especially those they didn’t feel happy asking in class, and then give them clear and precise answers. As a result, my students gain confidence and belief in their own ability and consequently their grades improve.
My experience allows me to ascertain very quickly the students' strengths and weaknesses and I am fully aware of the common misconceptions that students have. As an examiner, I can help students to improve their exam techniques and give them strategies to approach even the most challenging questions. I have built up a large number of highly effective techniques and resources to enable the students that I work with to achieve the best grades possible.
