Bio:
We are only able to learn when we are comfortable, happy and have a willingness to succeed. My job for over 16 years has been to instil that sense of security and drive in all of my students. I do this by having high expectations of both myself and the students; providing excellent knowledge of the curriculum and exam requirements and having a good sense of fun.
I have been a tutor for over 5 years and have loved the challenge of working 1:1 with a range of children and young adults across the age range. From Year 6 SATs work to 11+ entrance exams; from Maths GCSE to EAL for a Chinese student who had just moved to Britain. Working on a more personal basis, I am able to assess gaps in knowledge and tailor the curriculum to the student’s progression requirements.
Testimonials:
Kath’s approach is flexible and incorporates the student’s interest(s) as well as being very supportive in a way that not only allows progress to be made academically but for reflection to take place that allows the student to be able to regulate their own learning. She is very reliable and has been flexible with changes when needed due to other commitments for boys. I recommend Kath without reservation as a tutor.

Where do I start with our recommendation? Couldn’t have asked for a more enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutor who made additional tutoring such fun for my daughter. Kath is fab, she’s flexible and totally down to earth. She understands the pressures children and parents are under, she’s non-judgmental, she can lighten the mood of a parent/child relationship which may be struggling under the pressure of school work and she honestly felt like part of our family.
