Kath Beynon-Tullett

Kath has been tutoring my sons for the past four years and is currently supporting my youngest through Key Stage 2. Kath has built a wonderful rapport with the boys; the animated excitement to learn and laughter that fills a tutoring session is testament to this. She has supported the boys to relish the challenge of learning and to gain skills that will support them both in being lifelong learners. She has worked with them to help them focus on areas of development through their education to date so that they can meet their potential. This has led to excellent outcomes for my eldest son at the end of Key Stage 2, resulting in being extremely well prepared for the transition to Key Stage 3.

Kath’s approach is flexible and incorporates the student’s interest(s) as well as being very supportive in a way that not only allows progress to be made academically but for reflection to take place that allows the student to be able to regulate their own learning. She is very reliable and has been flexible with changes when needed due to other commitments for boys. I recommend Kath without reservation as a tutor.

Where do I start with our recommendation? Couldn’t have asked for a more enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutor who made additional tutoring such fun for my daughter. Kath is fab, she’s flexible and totally down to earth. She understands the pressures children and parents are under, she’s non-judgmental, she can lighten the mood of a parent/child relationship which may be struggling under the pressure of school work and she honestly felt like part of our family.
