I have taught English Language and Literature for many years and more recently taken on one to one tuition. This includes tutoring Literacy and Maths to KS1 and KS2 students. Working with children is an experience that I thoroughly enjoy and I have much success in motivating all age groups.
As well as mainstream teaching, I have qualifications in the social use of language and am proficient in teaching students with special educational needs such as ADHD, autism, and dyslexia. Counselling qualifications from Westminster Pastoral Foundation at Leeds University supported me in pastoral roles and I have also been involved in the planning, preparation, and teaching in Humanities, teaching History and RE to GCSE.
Following a wealth of experience and a broad spectrum of teaching in schools, I now tutor one to one or small groups full time and very much enjoy the challenge of helping these young people succeed.
